ArmInfo. Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to Armenia Fabio Vaz Pitaluga. According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening the Armenian-Brazilian trade and economic ties, deepening cooperation in the field of agriculture, as well as export and import opportunities.
Minister Kerobyan presented to the guest the achievements and priorities of the Armenian economic sector, the programs implemented with state support, in particular, the program for modernizing the economy and consolidating agricultural land.
Kerobyan expressed confidence that Armenia can become a bridge for Brazil in the context of exporting its products to the markets of other countries. It should be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee, in 2022, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Brazil amounted to $84.3 million, which is 53.4% more than a year ago. In particular, exports increased 8-fold to $285.6 thousand, while imports grew by 53% to $84 million.
