Despite the skepticism of many regarding Armenia's ability to ensure the implementation of the revenue item of the state budget for 2023, it can be noted that in the first quarter of this year, tax revenues to the state treasury increased by 60.8 billion drams. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on April 6 at a regular meeting of the Cabinet.
Thus, in January-March 2023, the volume of tax revenues and state duties reached 461.4 billion drams, which is 15.2% more than in the same period of the previous year. The program indicator for the first quarter of 2023 was exceeded by 14.4 billion drams or 3.2%.
During the reporting period, about 93.5 billion drams were returned to taxpayers and individuals, which is 42.2 billion drams or 82.2% more than in the same period last year. The income tax refund increased by 4.4 billion drams, or by 49%, to 13.4 billion drams, compared to the same indicator for 2022.
