ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by U.S. Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, Pashinyan stressed the importance of implementing joint programs. He noted that bilateral relations are developing dynamically, emphasizing the need for steps aimed at consistently deepening the economic interactions.
Arun Venkataraman said that he considers the meeting of the Armenian-American Strategic Dialogue held in Yerevan to be effective, and stressed the US interest in deepening trade ties between the two countries and stimulating cooperation in various fields, including the energy sector.
They touched upon the possibilities of deepening cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, energy, high technologies, and trade turnover, improving the business environment, and implementing joint projects.
It should be noted that according to the statistical data, the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Armenia with the United States in January-February of this year, increased 3-fold and amounted to $113.4 million.
