ArmInfo.Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan received a delegation led by U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of the Armenian-American economic cooperation. In particular, the parties touched upon the possibilities of expanding economic cooperation, diversifying and intensifying mutual trade, exporting American products through the GSP system, stimulating cooperation between the financial bodies of Armenia and the United States, and developing green energy.
The prospects of PayPal payment services availability in Armenia and the activities of Armenian unicorn companies in the US were also among the issues discussed.
It should be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and the United States in 2022 increased 2.2-fold, amounting to $464.7 million. At the same time, exports decreased by 4.4% to $78.2 million. While imports increased 3.1-fold to $386.5 million.
