ArmInfo. The situation in the labor market of Armenia continues to be active. Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan announced this on his Facebook page, referring to the data registered for March of this year.
In particular, according to him, as of March, the country has a record number of registered jobs - 706,294, which exceeds the figure of a year ago by 51.5 thousand or 7.87%.
At the same time, the minister also pointed to the growth of the average wage, which in March amounted to 301,752 drams, with an increase of 58.1 thousand drams or 23.87% over the year. According to independent experts, the increase in the average salary is very similar to the "average temperature in the hospital." This phenomenon is associated primarily with a significant increase in wages for officials, police officers, as well as with the income of the same resettlers who receive them from abroad.
At the end of last year, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan said that the salaries of employees of state departments would be increased, and bonuses would be reduced. In general, in 2023, according to him, the salary fund of civil servants will be increased by 21 billion drams (about $52 million), that is, by 7-8%.
