In April, we recorded all-time high on income tax collection- PM

ArmInfo. In April, an all-time  high was set for the collection of income tax and the collection of  tax fees to the state budget, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  said on April 27 at a government meeting.

According to him, as of April 26, the volume of tax revenues amounted  to 295 billion drams (about $755 million, ed. note). "There was no  month in the history of the Republic of Armenia when such an amount  of money would have been received by the state budget," he said,  pointing out that in April 2022, Armenia collected 231 billion drams.

<From April 1 to April 26, 158.1 billion drams of income tax was  paid, which is also an absolute record.  For comparison, I note that  in April 2022, 98 billion drams of income tax was paid>, the prime  minister said.

In 2022, Armenia collected taxes for 1 trillion 926 billion drams,  against the planned 1 trillion 844 billion drams. In 2023, in the  context of a 7% GDP growth (nominal GDP will amount to 9 trillion  317.9 billion drams), a 5% deflator and 5.6% inflation, financial  authorities plan to collect tax revenues (taxes and state duties) for  2 trillion 203.7 billion drams (23.7% of GDP). In general, state  treasury revenues will reach 2 trillion 302 billion drams (24.7% of  GDP), while expenditures will reach 2 trillion 591 billion drams  (27.8% of GDP), of which current expenditures - 2 trillion 043.3  billion drams (21.9% of GDP), and the deficit - 288.9 billion drams  (3.1% of GDP).
