ArmInfo. Germany plans to implement a bilateral programme to strengthen the local government system, facilitate communities' socio-economic development, etc.
The plans were announced at a meeting between Armenia's Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan with representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The German delegation is on a visit to Armenia on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The German delegation will identify the priorities of the programme, which is to be launched next year.
Mr Terteryan highlighted the importance of Armenian-German relations, Armenia's long-standing cooperation with GIZ and assistance in developing Armenia's communities under the Good Governance for Local Development, South Caucasus programme.
