ArmInfo. On June 30, "South Caucasus Railway" CJSC launches an electronic ticket sales system for domestic destinations. This initiative was announced at a press conference on June 28 by Alexei Melnikov, the Director General of the South Caucasus Railway CJSC.
He said that this application (railway.am) will make it very easy to purchase tickets for suburban destinations by registering by phone number alone.
Speaking about international tickets, Melnikov said that they have long been purchased electronically through a system developed by Georgian partners. But in the second half of the year, as he noted, an even more convenient program for electronic ticket sales will be used.
"We hope that our studies will improve our services in passenger transportation," said the Director General of the SCR.
In addition, he shared another good news for transit passengers. From now on, as Melnikov noted, a left- luggage office will operate at the Yerevan railway station. < It is a matter of great importance. Because now transit passengers will be able to leave their things, go out and walk calmly through the beautiful streets of Yerevan, go up to the Cascade, go down and return to the station in accordance with their schedule>, he said.
