ArmInfo.Last year, industrial output totaled AMD 92.4bln in Armenia's Lori province, local officials told Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan.
Last year, the gross agricultural output totaled AMD 88.5bln - a 112.4 y/y growth; construction totaled AMD 22.5bln - a 109.8% y/y growth; trade turnover totaled AMD 34bln - a 104.6% y/y growth; AMD 29.6bln services were provided - a 129.1% y/y growth.
The prime minister was informed about subvention programs for the last 5 years. Thus, during the reporting period, 307 programs were implemented with a total budget of AMD 12.2bln, of which AMD 6.2bln were co-financed by the government. In 2018, 20 programs worth AMD 505mln were implemented, in 2019, 55 programs worth AMD 1.8bln, in 2020 AMD 3.7bln were allocated for the implementation of 96 projects, in 2021 AMD 3.860bln were allocated for 96 projects, in 2022, the amount of financing for 40 projects amounted to AMD 2.323bln.
This year, 47 programs worth AMD 7.45bln and 152 subprograms have been approved. AMD 4.25bln will be allocated to finance these programs from the state budget, AMD 2.51bln from the municipal budget, and AMD 0.69bln from other sources.
It was noted that agricultural land in the region is 250.844 hectares, forest fund - 100.6 hectares. In 2022, compared to 2021, the sown area increased by 443 hectares. The volume of investments in the agro- industrial complex of the region in 2022 amounted to about AMD 8bln.
As for the urban development sector, according to officials, the allocations for the capital construction sector in the region according to the sources of funding are as follows: private allocations amount to AMD 26.235mln, international funding - AMD 279mln, community funding - AMD 1.622bln, and state budget allocations amounted to AMD 3.92bln. The head of government was informed that the volume of investments in urban development in 2022 amounted to AMD 5.8bln.
The volume of investments in the field of road construction amounted to AMD 13.9bln, 103.4 km of roads were renovated.
About AMD 1.8bln were invested in the tourism sector in 2022. The number of hotel establishments is 273, of which 20 are new. Work has begun on the development of the Tourism Development Strategy for Lori Region for 2023-2027.
During the consultation, upcoming programs were also discussed. In particular, it was noted that the sustainable development plan for the Vanadzor community was developed jointly with the administration of the Lori region and the administration of the Vanadzor community.
The total cost of the project is 27 million euros. Programs to improve the communal and sanitary condition of the enlarged communities of Vanadzor, Spitak, Tumanyan and Pambak were developed jointly with the Lori administration and approved by the Territorial Development Fund of Armenia.
Through the joint efforts of the "Investment Support Center" Foundation and the administration of Lori region, the investment program of the "Yerevan Chocolate Factory" company is being implemented. The Simonyan Educational Foundation is building 11 Tumo boxes and a Tumo center in Vanadzor in 7 communities of the region
