EFES IC de facto returns to Armenian market

ArmInfo.The EFES Insurance CJSC has de facto returned to the Armenian market. Having registered with  the Central Bank at the end of July this year, EFES Insurance CJSC managed to establish partnerships with six banks and the largest leasing company in Armenia as well as with a number of travel agencies, by October. In total, 51 organizations already act as insurance agents of EFES, including ACBA Bank, Converse Bank,  Araratbank, Evokabank, Inecobank, Byblos Bank and ACBA Leasing.

The authorized capital of EFES Insurance CJSC at the time of  registration was 2 billion drams and consisted of 2 million ordinary  registered shares, each with a par value of 1000 drams.

The shareholder of EFES Insurance CJSC is Intelligent Management LLC,  which is owned equally (50%) by well-known insurance specialists in  Armenia - Levon Altunyan and Arevshat Meliksetyan.

The Central Bank granted EFES Insurance CJSC a non-life insurance  license in 13 classes:  - Personal Accidents,

- Health,

- Motor Vehicles (except for railway),

- Aviation Risk,

- Cargo,

- Property - against fire and natural disasters,

- Property- against other damages,

- Liability arising from the use of vehicles (including trucks),

- Liability arising from the use of air transport (including cargo),

- General liability,

- Guarantees,

- Financial damage, 

- Travel (traveling abroad).

The Central Bank also granted EFES Insurance CJSC a reinsurance  license.

Accordingly, 7 insurance companies, including EFES CJSC, are already  operating in the insurance market of Armenia.
