Economy Minister, HSBC Reps discuss possibility of Armenian large  companies entering foreign capital markets

ArmInfo.Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan met with representatives of HSBC Bank as  part of a working visit to London.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, during the  meeting the parties discussed the possibility of large Armenian  companies entering Western capital markets and attracting investments  from Western markets.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue  discussions in order to find optimal solutions to the issues  discussed.

This summer, Chief Financial Officer at AMX|Armenia Securities  Exchange   Hayk Yeganyan, on the sidelines of the annual award  ceremony for the most active participants in the Armenian securities  market, stated that AMX would begin cross-listing with the Warsaw  Stock Exchange (WFA) within 1-2 years.

On May 24, 2022, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia agreed to  the acquisition of the Armenia Securities Exchange   by the Warsaw  Stock Exchange. Under this agreement, the Warsaw Stock Exchange  acquired 65.03% (967 shares) of the AMX. The Central Bank retained a  shareholding of 25.02% of the shares, and the remaining 9.95% was  retained by the AMX.
