ArmInfo. Armenia is taking part in the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which takes place from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the national pavilion is represented by the production of 23 Armenian companies, in addition, visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to get acquainted with the tourism opportunities of Armenia and its culture. Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan officially presented Armenia at the exhibition.
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a trade fair hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The 6th CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5th to November 10th. This is one of the biggest trade fairs in China. The fair will facilitate participation in terms of customs clearance, inspection and quarantine, provide long-term one-stop transaction services online and offline, and strengthen protection of intellectual property rights to safeguard the rights and interests of merchants. The China IP SME Helpdesk IP Business Advisor will visit the trade fair to advise EU SMEs and SMEs from countries participating in the Single Market Programme with IP-related questions and to present the Helpdesk's free-of- charge services.
According to the RA Statistics Committee, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and China in Jan-Septe 2023 increased by 29.8%, amounting to $1.5 billion. At the same time, exports increased by 19.9% to $322.5 million amid a 32.6% increase in imports to $1.2 billion.
