ArmInfo. Minister of High-Technological Industry of Armenia Robert Khachatryan held a meeting with inister of State for Environment, Climate Change and Technology of the Republic of Maldives Mohamed Shareef.
As the press service of the department reports, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the telecommunications sector, presented technological solutions used in this direction in their countries, shared experience related to channels, telecom operators, Internet access and a number of other topics, and also raised issues development of technologies using water resources. The interlocutors also identified areas of cooperation in the field of high technology and telecommunications.
Mohamed Shareef presented to Robert Khachatryan the features of the Maldivian economy and the activities of the ministry heading it. He noted that he was in Armenia for the first time and was very impressed by the history and people of our country.
The State Minister said that during his visit to Armenia he managed to meet with very promising technology teams and would be glad if the latter took part in the "Maldives Ocean Hackathon: Advancing Climate Solutions" and presented their ideas and technological solutions.
Mohamed Shareef arrived in Armenia to participate in the Seventh session of the Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Steering Committee (APIS SC) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). The 8th meeting will take place in the Maldives.
