ArmInfo.Indonesia is interested in cooperation with Armenia in the field of medical tourism. Ambassador of Indonesia to Armenia Arif Muhamad Basalamah stated during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Rafael Gevorgyan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the trade, scientific, technological sectors, in the field of construction, the service sector and in the development of infrastructures.
Representatives of the states noted that trade and economic relations between Armenia and Indonesia have high potential that needs to be fully realized.
It is reported that Rafael Gevorgyan introduced the diplomat to state support programs implemented in the economic sector of Armenia as well as the government's "Crossroads of the Peace" initiative, which involves the development of communications between Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran through the repair, construction and operation of roads, railways, pipelines, cables, and power lines.
According to the Customs Service, in H1 2023, Armenia imported $21 million worth of goods from Indonesia, which is 21.7% higher than a year ago. At the same time, the customs value of export products decreased significantly - from $308.6 thousand to $3.3 thousand.
