In Oct 2023, number of income-generating jobs increased by  approximately 5% compared to Oct 2022

ArmInfo.In Armenia, the number of income-generating jobs in October 2023 was 730.255.

According to the data of the State Revenue Committee, according to  the calculations of income tax and social contributions submitted by  taxpayers for October 2023, the number of income-generating jobs  amounted to 730.255, which exceeded the figure for the same month  last year by 33.810 or 4.9%.

Yesterday at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan said that since May 2018, about 183 thousand new jobs  have been opened in the Republic of Armenia. The dynamics of the  Armenian economy suggests that the trend will not only continue, but  will also intensify due to the involvement of compatriots from  Artsakh in the labor market, the prime minister believes.

According to Statistical Data, the unemployment rate in Armenia  decreased in Q2 2023 from 13.7% to 11.7%, being lower than last  year's 13% for the same period in 2022. The employment rate in the  country increased in Q2 2023 from 50.9% to 53.9% (versus 51.2% for  the same period in 2022). As of July 1, 2023, the number of employed  people exceeded 1,211.4 million people (with a y-o-y growth of 7.2%),  and the number of unemployed as of the reporting date was 160.7  thousand people (with a y-o-y decline of 10.5%).
