
ArmInfo. Gazprom-Armenia CJSC, which is a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom PJSC, plans to invest more than 148.92 billion drams (more than $350 million) in the gas network of the republic in 2024-2028. The company's investment program will be the subject of discussions that will take place on December 20 at the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the program, it is envisaged, in particular, to invest more than 56.6 billion drams in the expansion, restoration and reconstruction of the gas transportation system, another 25.11 billion drams will be allocated for the reconstruction of the Abovyan underground gas storage facility. The company also plans to establish additional capacity in the gas transportation network of Yerevan, for which it is planned to spend more than 20 billion drams.
Gazprom-Armenia CJSC is a monopoly supplier of natural gas from Russia to Armenia for domestic consumption. Supplies are carried out in transit through the territory of Georgia; the price of Russian gas at the border is $165 per 1 thousand cubic meters of natural fuel.
