
ArmInfo. Labor productivity in Armenia at the end of 2023 will be $9.8 per hour, Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told Business FM.
He noted that increasing labor productivity is one of the key goals of the government program for 2021- 2026. In particular, according to the minister, the program indicates that by 2026 this figure should increase from $6 per hour to $12 per hour.
"In two years of intensive work, we managed to increase labor productivity in Armenia by 50% to $9.8 per hour, which is one of the key goals of our economy," he said.
Labor productivity in Armenia in 2021 was $6 per hour, while in the EAEU countries this figure is twice as high, and in developed countries it reaches $43 per hour.
