ArmInfo. "We are now in a history book, and 2023 is a turning point for human history in the context of the development of artificial intelligence," Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told Business FM.
He noted that the coming years, in the context of ongoing transformations, will be akin to tectonic collisions. "And here it is important that our country has specialists who can use the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) and at the same time help avoid the negative consequences of AI," the minister said. Kerobyan said that the government is now actively discussing various initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence and government approaches.
In this context, he recalled that next year a supercomputer center will be created in the country, which has already been approved by the draft budget. The presence of the latter, according to the head of the department, is a necessary condition for the development of AI. It is very possible that in the next couple of years there will be no need for junior-level workers, including waiters, receptionists, hotel service workers, etc. And in this sense, we must be ready to offer people new jobs," the minister noted. He also emphasized that in parallel with this, new specialties will emerge.
