ArmInfo. At their meeting, Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Armenia's Ambassador to Ukraine Vladimir Karapetyan discussed bilateral business contracts.
"We have complex and promising relations. This year, both countries have demonstrated positive economic dynamics. If Ukraine at the end of the year will demonstrate GDP growth of 5%, then Armenia - almost 10%.
Business is looking for development and is open to cooperation. We see increased contacts between Kiev and Yerevan at the highest level, and this is an important sign that inspires business to work together," Chyzhykov said.
At the same time, he added that Vladimir Karapetyan said that there is a request for cooperation, but Armenia lacks information about the current economic situation and the capabilities of Ukraine, in particular as a candidate for EU membership.
"We agreed with the ambassador to hold a joint event for Ukrainian and Armenian companies, primarily to inform Armenian entrepreneurs about working conditions in Ukraine. I also thanked for the important contribution of the Armenian diaspora of Ukraine to the development of our country! Let's move forward together," he said.
