ArmInfo.France, through the Agence Francaise de l'AFD - Agence Francaise de D‚veloppement, supports the AGBU (Armenian General Benevolent Union) for the improvement of the health system in Syunik. Thanks to an AFD grant of 1 million euros, AGBU, via the intervention of Sante Armenia, is aiming for three objectives:
Improving the diversity and accessibility of healthcare provision;
Strengthening the skills of health professionals closer to rural populations;
Strengthening civil society and the power of citizens to act in the field of health.
Effective cooperation between Armenia and the AFD began in 2012. According to data published on the website of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia, as of October 5, 2021, the AFD portfolio in our country amounted to 125.5 million euros.
