ArmInfo.The Moxie robot produced by Paolo Pirjanian, leading American specialist of Armenian origin in the field of high technology, CEO and Founder of received the top prize at the CES 2024 Innovation Awards Program ceremony in the "artificial intelligence" category in Las Vegas. Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan wrote on his Facebook page.
"Congratulations for this significant achievement," he said.
CES 2024 is the world's largest and most important technology event, taking place this year from January 9 to 12 in Las Vegas. The founders of the exhibition and award are the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).
Paolo Pirjanian was born in Iran. He received his technical education in Denmark and after graduating from university he moved to the USA, where he taught for a long time, and later, when he got a job at NASA, he invented his first robots.
After working at NASA for more than 5 years, Paolo decided to found his own company, Evolution robotics. After which he worked as technical director of iRobot Corporation. In 2016, Pirjanian, together with University of Southern California professor Maja Mataric, founded the Embodied company.
