Artificial intelligence agenda needed involving government, business,  academic circles, and public - CBA chairman

ArmInfo. In order to keep up with the "train that moves at the speed of light," we have the only recipe - guided by political and economic priority, the formation of an all- Armenian broad agenda in the field of artificial intelligence, Martyn Galstyan, Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), stated at the forum Artificial Intelligence for  Business, organized by the Ministry of Economy.

He noted that a common effort is needed here, which means that an  agenda must be created by the state, business, the academic world and  the public, where clear goals will be defined that will allow us to  move forward.

Galstyan emphasized in this regard that in parallel with all the  opportunities that artificial intelligence opens, there are numerous  challenges. First of all, the head of the Central Bank pointed out  that the niches of certain professions and specializations could be  occupied by artificial intelligence. Speaking about the  possibilities, he noted that comparing artificial intelligence with  public blockchain, energy storage, robotics, genome sequencing, we  can talk about the exponential development of the country. Thanks to  these 5 platforms, as Galstyan said, in the next 5-10 years,  according to experts, the result of the private sector could reach  $200,000bln.

As an example, he named the service of unmanned taxis, where, using 3  functional platforms (energy storage, robotics and artificial  intelligence), after 5 years it will be a business with a volume of  $10,000bln.

Referring to the results of the meeting with David Yang (artificial  intelligence expert, entrepreneur, founder of ABBYY), Martyn Galstyan  noted that there is a ripe need to hold such events. "We should raise  these events to the international level. Our first priority should be  to make Armenia a center in the context of holding events on this  topic and to attract a flow of international specialists to our  country," he said.  The Ministry of Economy is holding the forum with  the aim of bringing together leaders, innovative thinkers and experts  in the field of artificial intelligence to explore advanced  strategies and solutions in the field of AI that can revolutionize  business operations. Among the speakers are Paolo Pirjanian, CEO and  founder of Embodied, and David Yang.
