Armenia will have to enter the top 5 or top 10 among the leading states of the world in terms of information and high technologies. It is also planned that over the next 10 years, the share of the information and high technology sector in the country's GDP will be significantly increased - up to 15-20%. Today the corresponding figure in Israel is 18%, approximately the same in Singapore. The indicator of 15-20% of Armenia's GDP, the speaker continued, is a very high indicator and an ambitious project.
The proposed solutions also provide for the complete digitization of the country's entire economy and its technical re-equipment.
Sevak Hovhannisyan noted that the IT community of Armenia considers it necessary to focus on solving three main tasks: the development of computer programs, software development and the provision of services in the field of information technology.
