DPM: we need not only quantitative increase, but also qualitative  changes in urban development field

ArmInfo.RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan introduced the newly appointed chairman  of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan to the staff of the Committee, the Government's press service reports.

The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the newly appointed chairman  of the committee and wished him success. Tigran Khachatryan highly  appreciated the activity of the committee in the context of  organizing the general works of the government of Armenia. "We have  many important projects, which in many cases directly, but often also  indirectly, depend on the efficiency that the Urban Development  Committee demonstrates in the directions entrusted to it. During the  last years, the investments made in the direction of social  infrastructure are becoming more and more important in government  programs. There we need not only quantitative increases, but also  qualitative changes. And we had many discussions regarding what to do  in that direction," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to Tigran Khachatryan's observation, in recent years there  has been a significant change in the scope of the works being done,  parallel to which the Urban Development Committee must continuously  improve the requirements for the quality of the works. The Committee  should ensure that the works performed by the organizations operating  in the field of urban development are in accordance with the  presented requirements and require that the work performed by the  service providers respond to the interests of consumers to the  maximum extent, be proper and appropriate. "From this point of view,  I think that we have a lot to do jointly and I am sure that the staff  of the Urban Development Committee has enough experience and  abilities to solve these problems cooperatively with you," said  Tigran Khachatryan.

Tigran Khachatryan also thanked the former chairman of the Urban  Development Committee, Armen Ghularyan, for his work.

In turn, Yeghiazar Vardanyan thanked for the trust. The newly  appointed chairman of the committee emphasized. "It is a great honor  for me to assume the role of a leader in my professional field. It is  also a matter of professional honor to record success together with  our partners and to implement with the support of the Government the  outlined tasks that were put before the Urban Development Committee  with high efficiency. I want to assure you that there will be no  compromise on the quality requirement, we will pay close attention to  the quality, not only in terms of construction but also in terms of  design. In parallel with that, we will also carry out revision and  localization of standards, norms, which will create an environment  where there will be as few problems as possible caused by human  factor, and the system will work with greater efficiency. I also want  to emphasize that we will pay great attention to the digitization  process. Also, we are developing projects to implement the  construction project management automation system, which I will  present in more detail in the near future."
