ArmInfo. The formation of cargo aviation in Armenia is of strategic importance. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated on April 10 during government hour in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
According to him, currently the existing cargo terminal is not fully loaded, and, thus, has resources for development.
At the same time, as the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out, cargo aviation is a very complex type of business. In practice, a cargo aviation should not remain on the ground, otherwise transportation will be too expensive. The issue of establishing cargo aviation is still being discussed at the concept level; there are no specific initiatives or proposals on this issue yet. "Nevertheless, the state is ready to provide any assistance to the private sector that will help solve this problem," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
