High-Tech Minister visits Digitain,  one of leading Armenian  companies in iGaming 

ArmInfo.Minister of High-tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan visited Digitain, one of the largest technological companies operating in the iGaming sector of  Armenia.  According to the press service of the Ministry of  High-Technological Industry, accompanied by Digitain management, the  minister got acquainted with the company's infrastructure, the  created ecosystem, developed products and development programs.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding the company's  activities. In particular, Digitain founder Vardges Vardanyan said  that the company is increasing its presence not only in Armenia, but  is also opening offices in Romania, Great Britain and Malta.  According to him, Digitain has recorded significant growth in recent  years in a number of areas, increasing its workforce and the number  of products it has developed. "However, we do not stop there. We have  big plans to expand the company, which are important for the  development of the economy of our country, the high-tech sector, and  in this context we attach great importance to cooperation between the  public and private sectors," he said.

Digitain is a developer of technological solutions for sports betting  and gambling and entertainment platforms. The company was founded in  1999 and offers a wide range of services and products in the iGaming  industry. The company's staff exceeds 3 thousand people as of today.

According to the study of the Modex consulting company, the number of  hired employees or contract employees in Armenia's IT sector in 2023  was 33,980 at the end of 2023.

The total wage portfolio of the sector increased by 36% over the  year, amounting to 410 billion drams.  According to Modex data,  industry companies paid a total of 135 billion drams in taxes, which  is 51% more than a year ago.

According to the RA Statistics Committee, the information and  telecommunication technologies (ICT) sector of Armenia in 2023  provided revenue of 883.2 billion drams (over $2.2 billion), with an  increase of 54.8% over the year.
