EAEU agreement on mutual recognition of documents on academic degrees

ArmInfo. On May 2, the Agreement on the mutual recognition of documents on academic degrees in the  states of the Eurasian Economic Union came into force, reported by the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

According to the source, the document was signed on June 8, 2023 at a  meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. Now national  documents on the academic degree of citizens of the Eurasian "five"  countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) are  automatically recognized (without national recognition procedures)  for carrying out labor activities in another state of the Union,  except in cases where the holders of such documents apply for bonuses  or benefits established in the state of employment for an academic  degree.

"The agreement is aimed at increasing the mobility of highly  qualified specialists and will contribute to the development of  freedom of movement of labor," noted Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of  Economics and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
