ArmInfo. Broadcasting of the First Russian Channel in Armenia has been suspended, Minister of  High-Techl Industry of the Republic of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan said.

According to him, broadcasting has been stopped until the Russian  side fully repays the accumulated debt.  "According to the current  agreement between CJSC <Armenian Television and Radio Broadcasting  Network> and JSC "Channel 1, Global Network", "Channel 1, Global  Network" did not fulfill its contractual obligations, having  accumulated a 2.5-month debt. Broadcasting of the Russian channel in  the public multiplex is temporary suspended until the debt is fully  repaid," the minister said. Let us recall that earlier the Armenian  authorities decided to stop broadcasting the programs "Evening with  Vladimir Solovyov" and "Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov" on the  territory of the republic, noting that this decision was made "based  on facts of constant violations." And Minister of High-Technological  Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan stated that Armenia could unilaterally  suspend the agreement on broadcasting Russian TV channels if  negotiations with Russia are not successful.
