Number of officially registered employees exceeds 752,000 in Armenia 

ArmInfo.The number of officially employed citizens in Armenia in May of this year. reached 752,260,  which exceeds the year-ago figure by 4.7%. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, citing data from the State Revenue Committee.

At the same time, the number of people employed in the retail trade  sector increased by 4,436 people over the year. up to 74,863, in the  healthcare sector - by 3,412 people. up to 41,667, catering - by  3,553 to 31,459, in the financial sector - by 1,429 to 19,064, in the  field of software development - by 788 to 27,351, in the construction  sector - by 2,496 to 16,974, in the gaming business - by 390 to 8009,  in guest business - by 577 to 7024, in non-commercial activities - by  6,624 to 203,226.

At the same time, the number of people employed in microbusiness, on  the contrary, decreased - by 3,166 to 29,027 people, and in clothing  production - by 288 to 9,682.

The average salary in the country was 296,690 drams, with an annual  increase of 6.7%.  It should be noted that according to statistical  data, the unemployment rate in Armenia in 2023 decreased to 12.6%  from 13% in 2022.
