ArmInfo. Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan took part in the 6th meeting of the EAEU Industrial Policy Council, which was held in Yekaterinburg.
During the meeting, participants discussed the main areas of cooperation in the industrial sector within the EAEU until 2030. In particular, they considered the possibilities of developing an interstate program for the development of robotics, the production and implementation of industrial robots, as well as issues related to financial support provided for the implementation of joint cooperative projects in the industrial sectors of the EAEU.
Gevorg Papoyan noted during the meeting that it is important to develop such general mechanisms that will be aimed at supporting the industrial sector, stimulating innovation, technological modernization and increasing the competitiveness of products.
At the meeting of the Industrial Policy Council, which took place within the framework of the INNOPROM international forum, the draft Set of Measures for the development and stimulation of the use of natural gas as a motor fuel for vehicles of the CIS member states for the period until 2030 was also approved. The draft Concept for the development of cooperation between the CIS member states in the field of light industry and the Action Plan for its implementation were also presented, and the draft Agreement on cooperation in the field of heavy engineering was also approved
