ArmInfo. A pilot program for labeling beer products will be implemented in Armenia. The decision was made at a meeting of the RA government on August 1st.
As noted in the rationale for the draft decision, the six-month pilot program will allow the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to establish uniform approaches to the labeling of goods by identifying them.
The labeling of goods has been in use since 2013, but in this case we are referring to stricter control measures applied in accordance with the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission in 2021. By using new stickers, it will be possible to track not only the entire volume of products sold, but also to control each unit of product, whether it be a bottle or a can of beer. This method of control will gradually expand, but at this stage we are focusing on a pilot program that will be applied to beer products. The labeling process will commence in the near future.
