Kazbegi-Upper Lars checkpoint resumes operations

ArmInfo. The Kazbegi-Upper Lars checkpoint on the border with Russia has resumed operations for passenger cars and passenger transport, Vahan Hakobyan, the customs attache of the Armenian Embassy in Russia, told ArmInfo correspondent. 

"The re-equipment work on the Georgian side has been completed and the checkpoint has resumed operations only for passenger cars and passenger transport. The movement of trucks will also be resumed in the near future," Hakobyan noted. 

It was reported the day before that due to technical work on the Georgian side, the customs checkpoint would be closed from 01:00 to 10:00 on August 6.
