ArmInfo. According to data from the RA Statistical Committee, wine production volumes in Armenia significantly decreased in the first half of 2024, while cognac production increased. In particular, the annual decline in wine volumes amounted to 38.5%, while the annual growth in cognac volumes was 14.7%.
This information is supported by data from the report, which shows that 4.4 million liters of wine and 9.4 million liters of cognac were produced in the country during the reporting period. According to statistics, the production of sparkling wine (champagne) also decreased by 18.8% to 481 thousand liters. During the reporting period, 1.6 million liters of whiskey were produced in the country, which is 3.8 times higher than the figure for the previous year. Vodka, liqueur and other strong alcoholic beverages were produced at 724.8 thousand liters, with an annual increase of 32.1%. Beer production during this period was 12.7 million liters, with an annual increase of 3.9%.
