ArmInfo. In the first half of  2024, 864,629 citizens of the Armenia returned to Armenia from  abroad, while 887,522 citizens of Armenia left the country.

As a result, the negative migration balance for some citizens of  Armenia remains - the outflow of population continues. According to  the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in  the first half of the year, the negative migration balance amounted  to 22,893 thousand people, having decreased by 12% over the year. In  general, in the first half of this year, 2.038 million people arrived  in Armenia from abroad, and 2.027 million people left Armenia, which  formed a positive migration balance at the level of 11,089 thousand  people, having decreased by 39.2% over the year.

According to the data of the Passport and Visa Center of the RA  Police, a total of 80,556 thousand people registered in the RA during  the reporting period, which is several times higher than the figure  for the previous year. These were mainly citizens of the Russian  Federation, Georgia, the Republic of Artsakh, Syria, Iran, Lebanon,  etc. 16,404 thousand people were deregistered (with an annual  decrease of 8.7%), and the overwhelming majority were citizens of  Russia, Georgia, France, etc.

For tourism purposes in the first half of 2024. Armenia was visited  by 964 thousand tourists, which is 4% lower than the same period last  year.
