ArmInfo. The scheduled preventive maintenance at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant has been completed ahead of schedule. This was reported in a statement by the ANPP press service.
As the source notes, the 2024 PPR was initially planned to be completed on August 18, but thanks to the team's clear work, it was possible to implement the program about a week ahead of schedule.
The station emphasized that after the repairs, the 4th and 3rd generators of the second power unit of the Armenian NPP were connected to the country's power grid on August 11 at 12:17. At the moment, the station is operating in normal mode, observing safety and reliability standards.
As part of the 2024 PPR, measures were taken to improve the operational safety of the plant, in particular, a major overhaul of the reactor unit, a major overhaul of the 3rd turbine and the 3rd turbogenerator, routine repairs of the 4th turbine and the 4th turbogenerator, a major overhaul of the reactor vessel, repair and inspection of the metal of the reactor vessel and in-vessel devices, replacement and inspection of the bearings of the drives of the emergency control, compensating cassettes (ACC), a major overhaul and inspection of the main shut-off valve. In addition to the employees of the main NPP shops, experienced specialists from the companies "Armatom", "Energoremgarant", "Volt Ampere", "IS ENERGY", "PROTERM", "PROMMONTAZH", as well as specialists from Russia, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine are also participating in the current work. We will add that the current work was carried out as part of a project to extend the unit's service life by 10 years - until 2036. The work is being carried out by the company "Rusatom Service", which is part of the Rosatom State Corporation.
