ArmInfo. The results of the basic examination for the construction of the Ajapnyak metro station have been received and submitted to the contractor for review. This was reported by Aneta Babayan, Acting Director of the Yerevan Development and Investment Programs Implementation Office, during a meeting at the capital's administration on August 19. According to her, the revised project is expected to be ready by the end of September and will be submitted for the final examination. "We expect the EIA and expert examination to be completed by December. After that, we will be able to start the tender process next year," she said.
Earlier, the city hall announced that construction, which is expected to last about 4 years, is scheduled to begin in 2026. The medium-term expenditure program is 6 billion drams, but the size of the program will be adjusted following the approval of the program by the Investment Council. The construction project is divided into 3 stages. The first stage includes geological, environmental, and other examinations and perhaps, Yerevan City Hall will pay the designer the 545 million drams owed to them as early as October. Another 300 days are allocated for the completion of the second and third stages.
