ArmInfo."Electric Networks of Armenia" have been and will remain outside of politics. This was stated at a press conference on September 4 by Vice President of the Tashir Group of Companies, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "ESA" Karen Darbinyan, commenting on the possibility of nationalization of the CJSC by the state.
Darbinyan ruled out such a development. According to him, against the background of the recent frequent power outages, various assumptions may be made, including the allegedly special nature of these actions against the background of the approaching pre-election period. However, these assumptions have nothing to do with the real state of affairs. Another question, the head of the Board continued, if the company did not fulfill its obligations. "But we strictly fulfill them," Darbinyan emphasized.
He also reported that the company's owners are not discussing the issue of transferring part of the shares of <ESA> to the RA government, as was done with respect to a number of enterprises in the republic. Let us recall that earlier during the press conference, journalists asked the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan whether the issue of liquidating the monopolies of the companies "ESA", "Veolia Jur" and "Gazprom Armenia" by increasing the number of operators, as was done in the communications sector, in order to create competition and ensure normal service. To this, Pashinyan stated that all these problems seriously concern the Armenian government, and they are priorities for the Cabinet.
