ArmInfo. The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of consistent development of cooperation between the RA Government and the UN Tourism, and the implementation of joint projects in this sphere. Noting that the tourism sector is of key importance for the Armenian government, Pashinyan also emphasized the necessity to develop regional tourism packages.
In turn, Zurab Pololikashvili, noted that Armenia has great potential for the development of the tourism industry and in this regard, he emphasized the significance of the World Wine Tourism Conference, currently taking place in Armenia. According to the UNWTO Secretary General, it also promotes tourism beyond Yerevan.
The interlocutors highlighted the efforts put intp creating the tourism investment guide of Armenia. It was developed in cooperation with the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, the Investment Support Center and the UN World Tourism Organization. The official presentation of the guidebook will take place tonight.
