ArmInfo. In July 2024, the number of registered jobs in Armenia amounted to more than 759 thousand. Compared to July 2021, the figure has increased by about 107 thousand or 16%.
Only a small part of them is the result of the reduction of the shadow, the rest are new jobs. This is the opinion of the head of the ACSES analytical center Haykaz Fanyan. As the economist pointed out, the leaders in relative growth are information technology (53%), construction (52%), culture, entertainment and recreation (43%). A decrease was recorded in the public administration sector (-2%).
The largest contribution to the increase in the number of jobs was made by trade (2.6 percentage points or 16,846 new jobs), construction (1.9 percentage points or 12,603 new jobs) and industry (1.8 percentage points or 11,709 new jobs).
