ArmInfo.The Center for Scientific Innovation and Education (CSIE) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), according to which a seminar will be organized during the World Conference on Information Technology WCIT2024/DigiTec.
The latter will bring together leading experts, researchers and specialists from around the world, creating an opportunity for cooperation and exchange of ideas. By signing the memorandum, the parties declared their joint efforts to involve the international expert community in the technological sphere of Armenia. "Today, with the support of WCIT, we initiated a workshop on "Innovations in Autonomous Systems", within the framework of which we will host leading scientists and industry experts from around the world in Armenia.
They will come to us not only to participate in the workshop, but also to study the IT sector in Armenia and establish new connections," said Raffi Pagchian, Director of the Center for Scientific Innovation and Education.
According to the WCIT press service, the seminar will be held on October 6 at the K. Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex and will focus on innovations in underwater, aerial and terrestrial robotics, their application areas and future prospects. The seminar will provide an opportunity not only to study current industry solutions, but also to develop innovative approaches to future technological developments.
Among the speakers of the seminar are Naira Hovakimyan (Professor, Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering, University of Illinois), Gregory Chirikjian (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Delaware), Eric Ferron (Professor, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia) and other renowned experts.
The World Congress on Information Technology 2024 (WCIT) will be held for the second time in Armenia from October 4 to 7. At the same time, the largest technological exhibition in the region, DigiTec, will be held in the Meridian exhibition center on the same days. The organizer of DigiTec since 2005 has been the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).
