ArmInfo.A delegation led by the head of the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Charkhifalakyan took part in the 23rd meeting of the Coordination Council of the Heads of Financial Control Bodies of the CIS Member States in Almaty.
As reported by the press service of the department, the participants of the meeting discussed the activities of tax authorities of the CIS member states, issues related to ensuring economic security and work projects for the upcoming period. The mechanisms of departmental interaction and strengthening of cooperation related to the fight against economic crimes, including illegal money circulation and gambling, were also discussed.
Following the meeting, relevant decisions were made on the agenda of the meeting. In particular, it was proposed to intensify cooperation within the Coordination Council to further strengthen the fight against transnational crime.
During the meeting, Vahan Charkhifalakyan was elected as one of the co-chairs of the Council. It was decided to transfer the chairmanship to Armenia in 2025.
