In January-August, electricity production in Armenia increased by  2.4%

ArmInfo. From January to August 2024, Armenia generated 6,121.2 million kWh of electricity marking a   2.4% increase compared to the same period last year. According to the  Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in August alone,  electricity production rose by 8.1% to 819.9 million kWh.  

During January-August 2024, the Armenian NPP increased electricity  production by 5.2% annually to 1,586.6 million kWh, while the  hydroelectric power station saw a 9.5% increase to 1,379.3 million  kWh. At the same time, thermal power plants reduced their electricity  generation by 8.3% annually, totaling 2,448.1 million kWh. Wind power  plants produced 0.8 million kWh of electricity during this period,  with an annual decrease in volume of 38.3%. Solar power plants saw a  31.3% increase  in electricity generation, reaching 706.4 million  kWh. -0-
