On October 15, within the framework of the World Congress of the International Road Federation (IRF - 2024), the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of TurkeyAbdulkadir Uraloglu, the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration reports.
No other details were provided on the agenda of the meeting.
We will also add that the day before, the Minister of Transport of Turkey Abdulkadir Uraloglu shared some interesting information. Thus, he said that progress has been observed in the negotiations with Armenia on the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" recently.
"In the beginning, there was great progress regarding Iran, there is progress on the Armenian side as well, this will soon become clear," Uraloglu said, adding that the opening of the transport corridor from Azerbaijan is a matter of time.
According to the minister, Turkey does not participate in the negotiations directly, leaving this function to Azerbaijan.
The Armenian authorities continue to assure that they do not intend to provide an extraterritorial corridor through their territory. On October 12, the Prime Minister of Armenia once again emphasized that Yerevan is ready to open a route through the territory of the Republic based on the principle of reciprocity and respect for sovereignty.
