ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Teresa Czerwinska, the Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB). As reported by the Prime Minister's press service, Pashinyan emphasized the significance of effective cooperation between the RA government and the EIB, particularly in road construction, infrastructure development, energy, water sector and other areas.
Teresa Czerwinska, in turn, expressed the EIB's readiness to continue cooperation in implementing the priorities and strategic plans of the RA government.
In this context, the parties stressed the importance of implementing the North-South highway, increasing the energy efficiency of Yerevan and other projects. An exchange of ideas occurred regarding the possibilities of implementing further programs, the RA government's "Crossroads of Peace" project and other issues.
Today, the EIB delegation also met with Vahe Hovhannisyan, the head of the Armenian Ministry of Finance. During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of projects in the transport, energy, water and infrastructure sectors of Armenia. They also talked about future cooperation opportunities. Considering the upcoming infrastructure projects funded by the bank, they considered the idea of opening an EIB office in Armenia.
