Armenia, Cuba condiering tourism cooperation agreement

ArmInfo. Armenia and Cuba are considering the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism. This was announced during a meeting between the  head of the Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan and the Ambassador of  Cuba to Armenia Oscar Santana Leon.

As Gevorgyan reported on her Facebook account, the issues discussed  with the ambassador included the possibilities of developing tourism  between the countries. The parties also exchanged statistical data on  tourism, presented each other with the visa policies of their  countries, the preferences of citizens, etc.  They expressed their  readiness to continue working towards developing further cooperation  in the tourism industry in order to increase mutual tourist flow.

According to the RA Statistical Committee, only 26 tourists from Cuba  visited Armenia in January- September 2024, which is 39.5% lower than  the figure for the previous year.
