ArmInfo. At a meeting on  November 29, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided  to provide a tariff concession in the form of an exemption from  import customs duty for certain types of cattle meat intended for the  production of meat products.

As noted in the press release of the EEC, this concerns the  possibility of importing these products in 2025 in the following  volumes: for the Republic of Armenia - up to 9 thousand tons, for the  Republic of Belarus - up to 7.5 thousand tons, for the Kyrgyz  Republic - up to 2.5 thousand tons, and for the Russian Federation up  to 100 thousand tons. Andrey Slepnev, the Minister for Trade of the  EEC, emphasized that the tariff exemption will be granted in respect  of cattle meat intended exclusively for the industrial processing and  production of finished products, provided that the authorized body  confirms the intended purpose of the imported goods. Such meat raw  does not include high-quality beef, which is mainly produced in the  internal market.  The deficit of raw meat in the EAEU is compensated   mainly by imports from Latin American  and India.
