Upper Lars checkpoint open for transport

ArmInfo. There is only one  closed road in Armenia. This is stated in a statement by the Rescue  Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.

In particular, as the source notes, the road leading to Lake Kari and  the high-mountain weather station "Amberd" is closed.

In some places, there is black ice on the section from the villages  of Agvan to Tatev, as well as in the village of Ltsen and on the  highways of the Ashotsky district.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal  Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry  of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the  Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of transport.

Drivers are advised to drive exclusively on winter tires.
