Armenian businessmen record 14.5% growth in Wildberries sales in  Jan-Sept, 2024

ArmInfo. Over the first 9 months of 2024, sales of Armenian entrepreneurs on Wildberries increased by 14.5 times. This is stated in the company's statement.

According to the source, Wildberries is actively developing  cooperation with local entrepreneurs and expanding product export  opportunities for Armenian producers. More and more entrepreneurs are  launching their businesses on the platform: over the first 9 months  of 2024, their number has grown by 345% compared to the same period  last year. Sales of Armenian sellers in January-September 2024 in  monetary terms increased by +1354% year-on-year.

Products made in Armenia are in high demand on the platform. Thus,  sales of local goods in the specified period increased in monetary  terms by 33% compared to last year. The most popular categories were:   cosmetics, accessories, food, shoes and underwear, as well as  jewelry, clothing for adults and children.

The categories of local goods with the highest sales dynamics in  monetary terms for the first 9 months of 2024 included hair  accessories (74 times growth year-on-year), baby products (17 times),  shoe accessories (15 times), handicrafts, curtains and accessories  (11 times).

The most popular local brands in January-September 2024 were Bambak  textiles, ELLASI shoes, Artie children's clothing, Alex Textile  clothing, ROYAL ARMENIA drinks, dried fruits, YV  SARKISIANTS and Simona shoes shoes, Bambak Kids pajamas and underwear  for children, Mariann Gray cosmetics and children's products from the  SALVE brand. 

Partners in Armenia can make deliveries to the sorting center in  Yerevan, the area of which is 8,200 m2.  This year, the shipment of  oversized goods (OGG) using the sales model within the  country became available. The network of order pick-up points is  expanding; as of October 1, 2024, the overall growth was 92%  year-on-year. Almost all Wildberries branded order pick-up points  accept goods.

More and more residents of Armenia are making purchases online. In  the first 9 months of 2024, they ordered clothes, shoes, cosmetics,  automotive products, accessories, underwear, smartphones, household  appliances, dishes and inventory, as well as home textiles on the  platform the most. "We strive to develop our services for  representatives of Armenian businesses so that more local brands can  enter the platform and delight buyers in international markets, and  entrepreneurs can increase sales and scale their business online.  Thus, in the first 9 months of this year, experts from the PRO  Wildberries Entrepreneur Center held more than 200 webinars for  current and future partners on entering the platform and managing a  business account," the Wildberries press service noted.
