ArmInfo. In Armenia, 7,619.3 million kWh of electricity was generated in January-October 2024, which is 4.6% higher than the same period last year. This is evidenced by data from the RA Statistical Committee, which shows that in October alone, electricity generation decreased by 5.1% to 767.8 million kWh.
Between January and October 2024, thermal power plants deceased electricity generation by 7.5% annually to 2,813.3 million kWh. During the same period, hydroelectric power plants increased production by 15.3% annually to 1,681 million kWh, and the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant saw a 5.3% annual increase in production to 2,218.3 million kWh. Wind power plants generated 1 million kWh of electricity in the first 10 months of this year, a 38% decrease compared to the same period last year. Solar power plants generated 905.7 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period, with an annual increase of 33%.
