ArmInfo.Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia Vahagn Hovakimyan and Head of the CEC External Relations Department Hermine Harutyunyan took part in a seminar in Tirana on the topic of "Artificial Intelligence for Electoral Actors".
According to the CEC of Armenia, the event was organized by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) with the support of Microsoft and OpenAI, bringing together representatives of electoral bodies, civil society and the media from the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe.
The goal of the seminar was to form a common understanding among the participants about the use of artificial intelligence in electoral processes, as well as to study the possibilities and risks of its implementation in electoral administration.
The issues related to the basics of artificial intelligence, its application in social networks, as well as legislative regulation of the sphere were discussed.
Particular emphasis was placed on the ethics of using artificial intelligence and its possible impact on human rights.
